I listen carefully. It's what I do for a living. And what I'm hearing is touching my heart.
The women I'm spending my time with are talking about going deeper. Upping their game. Making life matter. They're seeking meaning and are no longer willing to settle for an 'unexamined life'. They're willing to do what it takes to listen to their inner knowing and reconnect to their spiritual selves. They're feeling a sense of awareness that's calling them to something bigger. And they want to spend their valuable time with others who are on a similar path.
I love this.
I believe it's what this time in history is about. Women remembering who we are and sharing ourselves with the world around us for the greater good. Women coming together to support and encourage each other as we stretch beyond our comfort zones into the unknown.
This is not a small thing. It's hard to give up familiar patterns. It's challenging to retrain ourselves to listen to our hearts more than our heads. It's scary to move out of old circles and find new friends who get it.
But one thing is very clear: these women are serious. They're committed to doing whatever it takes to reconnect with who they really are. Committed to listening to the voice within that is leading them to what really matters: peace, joy, love, meaning.
Do you hear it? It may be a soft whisper in your heart or it may be a loud rumbling in your soul. Either way, listen. It's calling you home.
